WARM WEATHER SHIPPING POLICY: Shipments containing Temperature Sensitive items susceptible to melting (such as chocolate or coated nuts, chocolate, gummies, candy, taffy or fudge) will require Warm Weather Shipping. This ensures that up to 3 bags of taffy and/or pretzels OR 6 bags of candy OR 3 pounds of fudge will be protected during shipping. This is priced at our own cost which covers the use of an insulated cooler and ice packs.
This special packaging helps to ensure the quality of your food purchase for up to 2 days. These ice packs will gradually defrost during transit.
Any shipment traveling outside of the standard 2 day delivery area will need express shipping. Our website will help with choosing the correct shipping needed for your order.
From May through the end of September, we ship USPS or UPS from Monday - Thursday only. For Fed-EX Home Delivery we ship Monday- Friday. This keeps your temperature sensitive packages from sitting with the delivery services over the weekend.
Please make sure that someone is available to receive the package and take it to an air conditioned area. Packages may be left at the door if no one is available to receive them, regardless of weather or heat.
The Nut House cannot be held responsible for melting when packages are left in this manner.
Important: The Nut House makes every effort to ensure your order is packaged to arrive in great condition. We can not control what happens once it leaves our store however. If you do not choose the insulated shipping option and express delivery or remove the insulated shipping option from your shopping cart completely, you are taking full responsibility for any melting of the candy or fudge during the shipping process.
Please use your judgment when ordering candy since we cannot provide a refund or credit for melted candy.
